Concept
Two true MG stories, each staged as a scene and then cast into an ornate bronze plaque, like a trophy struck to honor them. "The Legless Ace" tells the story of Douglas Bader, the legless WWII fighter pilot, relaxing beside his red MG Midget TA on an airfield between missions. "Magnette MC K3" recreates the 1933 Mille Miglia race, car #39 pushing through a cheering crowd. Each scene sits inside a hand-sculpted frame of gears, wings, medallions, and heraldic crests, turning brand heritage into something you'd want struck in metal and hung on a wall.

Production Process

Every character, vehicle, and environment was fully built in 3D from the ground up, then rendered and stylized to read as a painted illustration rather than photoreal CGI, giving each scene the warmth of a period painting. The ornamental bronze/pewter frame surrounding each piece was itself a full CGI sculpt — engraved medallions with portrait likenesses, gear motifs, wings, and lion crests lit and textured to feel genuinely cast in metal, not applied as a graphic border. The two disciplines (illustrative scene and sculptural frame) were composited into one unified, museum-plaque object.
